Application Timeline

Online Applications:
It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that parents apply online for magnet programs.  Applying online:

  • Is quick and easy
  • Provides a translation service
  • Enables parents to review and revise application information and selections prior to the deadline
  • Sends confirmation emails and account update notifications instantly
  • Allows parents to upload additional documentation for high school applicants such as report cards and education plans
  • Schedules high school assessment appointments 
  • Grants parents access to magnet decisions on the release date, rather than having to wait for the postal service to deliver the decision letter.
  •  Allows parents to accept placement offers instantly online.

Parents may apply online through the Online Magnet Application System from 12 noon on Monday, September 16, 2018, until 1 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018.

You’ll need an active e-mail address to access the online application system.

A confirmation email will be sent when the application is submitted.  

Required documents saved as pdf files may be uploaded with the online application.


Paper Applications:
Downloadable applications will be available on this site from 12 noon on Monday, September 17, 2018, until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018. 


Paper applications MUST be postmarked on or before the established application deadline: November 16, 2018.  Mail applications to:
